Who's in

If you work the trees, you're in.

Workers and bosses. Apprentices and 25-year vets. Cert III, Cert V, no certs at all. Safety and shared knowledge are how this trade gets better — and that doesn't happen if half the crew is excluded. The clubhouse doesn't care about the badge on your shirt, only that you've got bark in your boots.

🪚

Arborists

Cert III & V crew running consultancy and contract work.

🥾

Groundies

Drag, feed, rope, repeat — the engine of every job.

🧗

Climbers

Spike, SRT, MRT — the crown is your office.

🌳

Tree Loppers

Get-it-done crews, owner-operators, the long-grinders.

🪖

Bosses & Owner-Ops

Crew bosses, team leaders, owner-operators running the show — and hiring.

🚚

Operators & Drivers

Plant operators (dozer, excavator, grinder, chipper) and truck drivers (HC, MC, tipper, hooklift).

The clubhouse

Seven rooms. One trade.

The chat where tree workers and tree-work bosses actually talk to each other. No spam, no Facebook fights, no LinkedIn theatre — just real questions, real answers, real jobs being filled.

★ Open on Trunk · 5 rooms
💬

General B.S.

Smoko-room banter. The day's wins, the day's stuff-ups, who's on what job, who's seen what. The first room you'll open every morning.

🪚

Gear Talk

Honest reviews from working climbers. Saddles, saws, ropes, helmets, throwlines — what's worth the spend, what's marketing fluff. One good answer here pays for the year.

⛈️

War Stories

The jobs that nearly got you. Near-misses, hairy rigs, weather days, ambulance tales. Learn what to do — and what not to do — from people who've been there and lived it.

🌳

Tree ID

Photo in, answer out. What is it, is it protected, is it valuable, is it dangerous. Get a confident ID from people who've climbed it before — usually inside the hour.

🪢

Tips & Tricks

The shortcut your old mate showed you, written down so the next apprentice doesn't have to learn it the hard way. Knots, rigging, machine ops, quoting — all of it.

🗳️

Storm Work? SRT-only? Apprentice corner? Trunk & Canopy members vote on what opens next.

🔒 Canopy only · 2 rooms

The professional tier. Where bosses, contractors, senior crew, operators and drivers talk shop and hire each other — direct, no recruiter cut.

🔒 Canopy
🛋️

Canopy Lounge

The senior crew room. Long-form shop talk — pricing, client problems, hard calls, business decisions. Where 15+ year vets, crew bosses and owner-operators talk straight without an audience.

🔒 Canopy
📋

Hiring Yard

The whole trade marketplace in one room. Looking for work, or looking for crew? Contract climbers, contract groundies, plant operators (dozer, excavator, grinder, chipper) and truck drivers (HC/MC, tipper, hooklift) — and the bosses hiring them. Day rates, regions, references, gear setup. Direct, transparent, no recruiter middleman.

This is the conversation you've been missing.

Built on Circle — a proper chat platform. Photos, video, threads, mentions, mobile + desktop, in the truck on smoko, doesn't matter where. Your ARBCLUB login carries you straight in.

Sapling sits in #general-bs. Trunk opens all 5 open rooms. Canopy adds the 2 professional rooms — Canopy Lounge for shop talk, and the Hiring Yard for finding work or hiring crew, contract climbers, groundies, operators and drivers.

Why we built it

Not Facebook.
Not LinkedIn.
The clubhouse.

The best tradies in the trade — and the best bosses — had nowhere to swap stories, sharpen skills, find good crew or find good work. Not without it being a Facebook brawl or LinkedIn cringe. So we built it. A real place, for real tree people. Worker or boss, apprentice or veteran — the only badge that matters is that you've done the work.

👋 Behind the club

Built by tree people. No marketing dept.

🪚
Tree people

Run by climbers, groundies and bosses who still work the trade.

No marketing team, no algorithm, no paid posts pretending to be reviews. The crew running the clubhouse logs on after work and answers in the rooms — same as you.

Everything we ship gets tested against one question: would a working climber actually read this on a Tuesday morning? If the answer is no, it doesn't ship.

Common questions

Quick FAQ

What actually happens in the chat rooms? +

Seven rooms total. Five open on Trunk: #general-bs (smoko banter), #gear-talk (honest kit reviews), #war-stories (near-misses you learn from), #tree-id (photo in, ID out), #tips-tricks (old-mate shortcuts). Two behind Canopy: #canopy-lounge (senior crew shop talk) and #hiring-yard — the trade-wide marketplace covering contract climbers, contract groundies, plant operators (dozer/excavator/grinder/chipper) and truck drivers (HC/MC/tipper/hooklift). Members vote on what opens next.

Where's the chat actually live? +

The clubhouse runs on Circle — a proper chat platform. Photo + video sharing, threads, mentions, mobile + desktop, push notifications you can switch off. Your ARBCLUB login carries you straight in — no second password. Sapling members post in #general-bs; Trunk unlocks all 5 open rooms with full posting; Canopy adds the 2 professional rooms — Canopy Lounge and the Hiring Yard.

How does the trial work? Will I get charged? +

Every tier starts free — 14 days on Sapling, 60 days on Trunk and Canopy as a launch promo. We take card details upfront but charge $0 for the trial period, and email you a 7-day heads-up before the first charge. Cancel anytime in your trial, pay nothing. After the trial it's $9 (Sapling), $19 (Trunk) or $49 (Canopy) a month, billed monthly.

Is this for tree workers, or for bosses? +

Both — and that's the point. Arborists, climbers, groundies, loppers, apprentices, crew bosses, owner-operators, contract climbers, contract groundies, plant operators and truck drivers. Workers and bosses share the open rooms (smoko, gear, war stories, tree ID, tips). Bosses, contractors and senior crew get the 2 Canopy rooms — the Canopy Lounge for shop talk and the Hiring Yard for finding work or hiring contractors / operators / drivers. The vibe is mates around a smoko, not a corporate Slack.

Do I need to pay to win the monthly prize? +

No. Australian trade-promotion law requires a free entry method, and we have one — anyone can submit a no-cost entry on the rewards page (no signup, no card). Members earn entries through activity instead: Sapling 1 entry/month at 1×, Trunk 2× per action up to 10/month, Canopy 5× per action no cap. Prizes rotate each month — saws, saddles, climbing gear, course vouchers — members vote on what's up next.

When does the first prize draw run? +

First draw runs as soon as our trade-promotion permit clears (NSW + ACT for prizes over the threshold — required by Australian gaming law, can't skip it). Your entries are already banking from day one. We'll email all members the moment the permit is in and the first draw goes live. Aiming for end of first month after launch. Month 1: Clogger Zero chainsaw trousers. Month 2: Protos Integral helmet. Month 3: Stihl MS 261 chainsaw. After that, members vote.

What if I want to cancel before the first charge? +

Cancel anytime during your trial and you pay nothing. We send a 7-day heads-up email before the first charge so you don't get caught out. After your trial ends, monthly billing kicks in at $9 (Sapling), $19 (Trunk) or $49 (Canopy). Cancel any month after that, no questions, prorated for annual subs.
